L1 Review and Test Out with Gee Tual (March 2025)

Virtual Event Virtual Event

March 23 @ 10:00 am 3:30 pm

Join Guillaume Tual, Australia Master Instructor, in this online workshop for a thorough review of the Level 1 movements and call out language. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has taken the L1 workshop but hasn’t submitted their Test Out, and/or Flowists who would like a technique tune up. This workshop will take place in Australia/Asia Time Zone. We understand that after taking your L1 workshop, life can get busy, and your practice may have needed to take a back seat. We also appreciate that it’s easy to lose confidence when it has been some time since you were able to work on the movements covered in the workshop. Whether it’s been a while and you need a refresher on the technique details, or you just don’t have time to shoot the required videos, or you just think this sounds like more fun – this session is meant to help rekindle your passion for Animal Flow and support you to achieve your certification.

TESTING OUT

The first four hours of the event will be dedicated to the review session. For attendees who are seeking to complete their L1 Test Out:
  1. You must submit the required Test Out form and documents ahead of time. You will receive a link to the online form after registration. The form will ask you to confirm your personal details; indicate whether you are seeking to become a Certified Animal Flow Instructor or Official Flowist; confirm your fitness credentials if necessary; and provide proof that you completed the online exam.
  2. Participation in the review portion of the workshop will serve as a “pass” for Part 1 of the Test Out (performance of the movements).
  3. You will have two options to complete Part 2, where you have to coach someone else through a Flow that you have designed:
  • If you believe that you are prepared for Part 2, you can do it online immediately following the review session. If you would like to take more time after the review session to prepare your Flow, you can submit it on video within 30 days of the event.
  • If you are testing out to become a Certified Animal Flow Instructor, you must coach someone else through a 90 second flow that you have designed. We will pair you up with someone else, and pin your screens on zoom so that Mike can watch you both. You’ll receive immediate feedback, and will have opportunity to make corrections and retry if needed.
  • If you are testing out to become an Official Flowist (the title for non-professionals who will not be teaching Animal Flow), then you will NOT coach someone else. Instead, you will perform a 90-second Flow that you have designed, calling it out as you go along.
  • We will break Part 2 into break-out groups, and have additional evaluators assigned to review your call outs. This way we can ensure that it doesn’t take more than an hour to get through everybody’s tests.

AGENDA

Sunday March 23
  • 10:00am – 2:00pm (Australia Brisbane Time Zone): You will review all of the L1 movements covered in the workshop. Gee will demonstrate each movement, reviewing the key points and common errors. Then all participants will perform several rounds together so that Gee can confirm everyone is performing correctly. He’ll note any errors, and may ask some people to make corrections. Completion of this portion of the sessions counts as passing Part 1 of your test out.
  • 2:00pm – 2:15pm BREAK
  • 2:15pm – 3:15pm Optional Part 2 Test Out

ELIGIBILITY

Anyone who has taken the L1 workshop can attend this review workshop. Individuals who have taken L1 but have not yet submitted their test out can do so through this event. This includes individuals who have exceeded the 180-day deadline for submission (see reminder of deadlines below). Participation in this workshop will meet the requirement that you repeat the L1 workshop if you have missed the submission deadline. Participation in this event does not guarantee that you will immediately pass the Level 1 test. You must still prepare to design and coach someone else through a Flow. If it has been a long time since you took the L1 workshop, we strongly recommend that you review the Call Out Tutorial tutorial included in the instructor Resource section on this website.

COST

Registration for this event is $150.00 USD.

TEST OUT REQUIREMENTS

The requirements to pass your L1 test are the same whether you attend this session or submit via video. You can review the requirements here. Participating in this session provides you with a detailed review of the L1 movements, and removes the requirement to record the videos. Tests are due within 30-90 days after your workshop.
  • We give you a 90 day “grace period” when you are technically late, but can still submit without penalty. We no longer require requesting permission for this 90-day extension.
  • If more than 180 days have passed since your workshop, you will be prompted to pay the $50 late fee when you upload your test.(Enrolling in this session will waive the late fee).
  • If more than a year has passed since your workshop, you will need to take the workshop again. You can take it in person at 50% of regular price, or take it online at 30% price (70% discount). If you are more than a year late and would like to submit your test through this Online Review Session, please contact us to discuss your level of readiness.
