Animal Flow, at its core, was developed to operate as a ‘glue’; filling in the spaces between other forms of physical expression. In barbell and implement-based sports, there is a certain bias towards strength expression through specific ranges. Freyja will share insights on how Animal Flow can be used strategically to help strength athletes counterbalance their sport. Discover how these clients may be able to avoid injury and achieve greater performance gains through the addition of closed-chain work.

More followers. More engagement. More clients and students. Social media has become a staple of any fitness business but, in spite of how onerous it can sometimes feel, building your social media platform doesn’t have to be a full time job. The secret to easily creating compelling content is hidden in plain sight: in your day-to-day life, and teaching and coaching activities. In this session you will learn why content matters, what types of content moves the needle, and how to create seven days worth of content that your followers will love, in just a couple of hours each week.

Low back pain (LBP) is something that an estimated 80% of our population contends with at some stage of their lives. Most trainers will eventually work with a client who either has a history of LBP and is afraid of recurrence, or has an active episode of LBP and is unsure what to do. Animal Flow can be an excellent tool for restoring function, gaining a sense of safety with movement, and building confidence for the LBP client. In this session Freyja shares tips and strategies that will help to clarify how to assess, regress, progress, and program for the client with LBP.

It’s likely that you’ve heard Mike or another MI explain that while Animal Flow can certainly stand alone, it was never designed to be a panacea for every movement malady. Other tools and practices can add huge value, complementing a regular Animal Flow practice in the pursuit of physical optimization. Addressing the Tissue covers the ins and outs of self-myofascial work, and how to apply it with clients and in your own personal Flow practice. Freddy will take you through a full hour of breath and soft tissue protocols, and cover information on the best tools and strategies for enhancing your body through the practice. Come along with your long foam roller and leave with a clear understanding of how and why self-myofascial practices can be applied in a multitude of ways.

As the movements in the Animal Flow ‘universe’ continue to grow, refine and evolve over time, so do the words and cues that we use to coach and communicate them. Join the mastermind behind this movement dialect, Mike Fitch, as he provides a comprehensive session on the rules and details of the Animal Flow language.

The rules are simple. One Master Instructor is ‘Heads’, the other is ‘Tails’. A flip of the coin determines who picks a move. More than two ‘Heads’ or ‘Tails’ in a row, and they pass on the movement selection to someone who’s playing along at home. In a session where a quick game’s a good game, Freyja and Kelie have to bring to the table both their mental catalogues of moves and combinations, as well as their accurate Call Out language in order to progressively build a Flow that’s on the money!

In this insightful session, Kathy covers the anatomy of the pelvic floor, reasons for pelvic floor dysfunction, and how some Animal Flow positions and movements can be used as a tool for correcting these issues. As a larger person, Chaddy knows what it’s like to watch other people hurl themselves across the floor at break-neck speeds and feel intimidated by their movement prowess. Leave feeling empowered by the understanding that it’s not only okay to move at your own pace, but also safer and more beneficial for you to do so. Big people of the world, UNITE!
