International Animal Flow Day (IAFD) is a global holiday that was born August 28th, 2021 as a way to bring together individuals from around the world to celebrate the joy of movement and the friendships shared by practitioners of Animal Flow. “Community” is one of the four pillars that make up the foundations of the Animal Flow system, representing the idea that fitness can be fun and is better when shared with others.
Each year, thousands of Flowists in more than 60 countries come together in their local parks, gyms, city attractions, and community centers to take part in IAFD. While everyone practices the same Flow, it contains both beginner and advanced portions so that everyone can successfully take part. When we put together the final video incorporating the 200+ events around the world, we see a beautiful collage of people from many different backgrounds moving together to perform a shared Flow.

This year to celebrate IAFD, our Master Instructor team will also be hosting a Virtual Summit Saturday, August 29th from 8am-8pm New York time! We’ll be releasing the official summit schedule in July. The summit is built for AF Workshop Students at every level who want to deepen their Animal Flow practice — from the research behind Quadrupedal Movement Training (QMT) and AF for Sports and Rehab, to a deep dive into Call Out Language and beyond. Then we’ll take it to the floor with choreographed flows, AF Regressions, Advanced Transitions, and more.
Can’t make it live? Recording access is available for 6 months after the event. Continuing Education Credits from NASM and ACE pending. Register HERE.
As always, All international Animal Flow day attendees are encouraged to donate to World Central Kitchen in support of their ongoing efforts to provide meals to individuals in disaster and war zones around the world.
