About Me
Intuition, self-expression and awareness of the self are just some of the many benefits of embracing an Animal Flow practice. I, personally, fell in love with this movement routine because of the powerful effects that this practice has in my body and my mind. Influenced by my movement journey, I like to encourage people to enjoy moving as who they are rather than how they think things should look like.
Growing up, I used to train in many different disciplines; such as swimming, tennis, running, mountain biking and windsurfing. However, my approach to movement and skill learning changed completely when I became an adult dance student experimenting with Ballet, Modern Dance, Salsa, Afro and Bollywood dance. This gave me the opportunity to explore new ways to connect with my self, my strengths and weakness in a more intelligent and sustainable way. My regular multi dimensional movement practice not only made my body stronger and more efficient at the physical level, but it also boosted my creativity and imagination bringing huge benefits to my wellbeing as well as professional career.
In addition to teaching movement, I focus my professional activity on cultural diversity, sustainable innovation, identity, self-expression and creative wellbeing through creative fiction writing, master classes at universities, talks, workshops and Mind & Body programs. Sharing stories has been a constant in my professional career. A passion that has taken different forms throughout the more than ten years I lived in Hong Kong and Beijing, before moving to London. First, as an international correspondent for Spanish and international media and later as an expert in communication and cross-cultural project management in Asia and Europe. The exposure to different Asian cultures and lifestyles nurtured my passion for exploring creativity, identity and self-expression beyond the confines of communication. These experiences brought me closer to the worlds of dance and movement and they define the uniqueness of my teaching approach and the flavour of my sessions.
I am also certified as a Mat pilates, Yoga, TRX Functional training and Barre instructor. I offer either only Animal Focused sessions or general movement sessions where I integrate Animal Flow with the other disciplines.
