In the segment entitled, “See how the ‘Animal Flow’ Workout is Shaking Up the Fitness Industry,” Mike discussed Animal Flow and how this workout builds strength and endurance. Mike stated “Animal flow is a ground based, movement program that’s designed to connect our bodies to ourselves, our minds to our bodies through the floor. One of the ways that we found that’s really beneficial in doing that is by placing hands and feet in contact with the ground and moving around. It’s really about improving the connection, communication and function of the human animals.”

If you’re not familiar with Animal Flow, creator Mike Fitch knows what you’re thinking. So we asked him to get to the point of what it is and what inspired it.He explains that the most important thing to understand is that the focus of the practice is “to increase communication, connection and function of the ‘human animal.’” Fitch continues, “We’ve specifically designed the system to develop or improve all of the body’s physical abilities, like strength, power, speed, endurance, coordination and mobility. The magic is in the multidirectional, quadrupedal movements where both hands and feet are in contact with the ground.”

How Flowing Like an Animal Transformed Me "I was really captivated by workouts that incorporated pushups, fluidity, legs and flexibility. Basically, if I could develop the perfect workout, I would study the moves of a ninja and the moves of a panther. I started searching for different bodyweight exercises on YouTube and I came across this guy teaching this workout called Animal Flow. This guy was impressive, his movements are so smooth, yet incredibly strong. His name is Mike Fitch. His company is called Global Bodyweight Training and he created this Animal Flow. The best way to describe Animal Flow: it’s a series of movements and bodyweight exercises created to flow. It also incorporated some static holds and b-boy/break dance moves. Let me be the first to tell you…it is not for the faint of heart."
