About Me
My name is David and I am a 32 year old Scot, living in London. I work with a broad range of clients of all ages and abilities, both online and in person. When coaching Animal Flow, I like to bring ‘The Four Cs’: Calm, Confidence, Creativity and Control. I try to make my sessions as warm and engaging as possible while still ensuring clarity of intention and movement. Through Animal Flow, I finally found a sense of belonging and community in the movement/fitness world. Despite training in Dance and Theatre Performance at Bird College, I never felt comfortable in gym environments or in the dance world. In 2019, I decided to take ownership of my own training and qualified as a Personal Trainer and shortly thereafter as an Animal Flow Instructor.
I am particularly proud of the work I do with children (aged between 6 and 16). Seeing young people have fun, build friendships and grow in confidence, all while moving their bodies and keeping themselves healthy and strong is a wonderful feeling.
As well as a coach, I am also a Theatre Actor so when I’m not treading the boards, my classes become my stage. Animal Flow has come in particularly useful for my most recent role, the Tiger, in the adaptation of the children’s book 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea'. If you want to establish a movement and mobility practice in a friendly and supportive environment, if you want to feel confident in your body, it’s capabilities and your presence in ‘fitness spaces’ (and have a few laughs while doing so) then get in touch now!
