You’ll begin by learning the scientific\, evidence-based benefits of Quadrupedal Movement Training along with the Four Pillars that the AF system is built upon. The movements covered in day one ranges from Activations to the “ABC’s” of Traveling Forms and finishes with an introduction to Switches & Transitions. \n\n\n\nDay two systematically builds upon the movements that were taught in day one\, with a strong emphasis on movement fluidity. The day begins with a series of full body mobilizing sequences known as Form Specific Stretches\, followed by 4 categories of Switches & Transitions. The day concludes with a sample Flow known as the Beast Flow\, where all the movements covered in the course come together. The focus of day two is not only on the proper execution of each movement\, but includes flow design\, the animal flow language and how to integrate the AF techniques into your clients programming.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat’s Included\n\n\n\n\nYour registration includes everything you need to prepare for the workshop and complete the process to become certified. (See the following Certification Options section for the requirements to become a Certified AF Instructor) \n\n\n\n\nAttendees must be at least 18 years old.\n\n\n\nIndividuals of all skill levels can participate. Prior experience with Animal Flow is not required.\n\n\n\nYou should be physically fit enough to support your own bodyweight in quadrupedal positions (all fours) and be medically cleared to participate in physical activities. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCertification Options\n\n\n\n\nTaking the Level 1 workshop is the first step toward becoming a Certified Animal Flow Instructor or Official Flowist. \n\n\n\n\nCERTIFIED ANIMAL FLOW INSTRUCTORS \n\n\n\nFitness professionals are eligible to become Certified AF Instructors\, allowing them to teach AF in personal training sessions or group fitness classes\, and/or integrate it into other fitness programming. To become certified\, participants must complete the test out process after the workshop and provide proof of credentials as a fitness\, yoga or martial arts professional. The test out process includes completing an online 30-question exam\, and then submitting two videos that demonstrate specific areas of proficiency. Students have up to 180 days after the workshop to complete the test out process without a late fee. \n\n\n\nIf you have questions regarding whether your fitness professional credentials would qualify you to become certified\, please email workshops@animalflow.com. While credential types vary widely between regions and disciplines\, we generally look for certifications or degrees in relevant fields (fitness\, yoga\, physical therapy\, exercise science\, martial arts) from accreditation organizations. We do not accept nutrition or life coaching certifications. \n\n\n\n\n\nOFFICIAL FLOWIST \n\n\n\nNon-professionals are welcome to take the course for their own benefit\, though are not eligible to become a Certified AF Instructor without first attaining a qualifying fitness credential. These individuals can complete the test out process to attain the title of Official Flowist. \n\n\n\nIf someone has earned the title of Official Flowist and then goes on to attain a professional fitness credential\, they can update their title to Certified Instructor. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nContinuing Education Credits\n\n\n\n\nThe Level 1 course is approved to provide Continuing Education Credits from some of the top accreditation entities in the field of physical fitness: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNational Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM): 1.1 CEUS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAthletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA): 11 CEUs\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAmerican Council on Exercise (ACE): 1.1 CEUs\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\ncanfitpro Canadian Fitness Professionals: 4 CECs\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNew Zealand Registered Exercise Professionals (REPs): 16 CPDs\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCancellations and REFUNDs POLICY\n\n\n\n\nIf you need to cancel your workshop registration\, you may be eligible for a partial refund\, depending upon length of time until the event\, according to the following terms. Workshops are planned based on the number of registrations several months in advance\, so we cannot offer full refunds if you must cancel. \n\n\n\nIf an event is canceled by GBT/ Animal Flow HQ for any reason\, a full refund (with no processing fee) shall be provided. \n\n\n\n\nOption 1: Participant Substitution\n\n\n\nYou can always transfer your registration to somebody else\, although it is your responsibility to identify the individual and make any financial arrangements directly with them. DESCRIPTION:Take your Animal Flow practice to a higher level of understanding at the Level 2 from November 9-10\, 2024. The two-day event is 8 hours each day on Saturday and Sunday. The workshop will take place at a venue TBA Dubai. This workshop will be taught in English\, by Master Instructor Evgenia Kabanova. The Level 2 workshop is open to anyone who has taken Level 1. \nContact Parveez directly via email in order to register: Parveez@animalflow.com \nABOUT LEVEL 2\nBuilding upon the strong foundations learned in Level 1\, Level 2 teaches 10 more new moves\, as well as progressions for hand balancing. You’ll delve into more advanced concepts like energy transfers\, tempo changes and using animal locomotion in flows\, while engaging in intermediate level flow design. Read more about the LEVEL 2 WORKSHOP HERE. \nParticipants will learn how to successfully perform the Level 2 exercises\, as well as how to correctly integrate the movements with Level 1 to create extended Flows with an increased degree of complexity and intensity. Participants also learn how to instruct the movements and incorporate them into a training program. Emphasis is placed on understanding how the Level 2 movements train the fascial slings of the body; understanding the role of dissipating force\, fluidity\, and leverage in the advanced movements; and understanding how to instruct a range of progressive drills and conditioning exercises that form the introduction to hand balancing practice. \nThe full-day agenda includes: \n\nReview of key Level 1 moves\nIntro to Hand Balancing: Tuck Balance Progressions\nNew Transitions: Reaching Underswitch; Reaching Underswitch to Deep Ape; Scorpion Sweeps; Roll Throughs; and Crocodile Rolls\, Pop Switches and Pop Outs;\nNew Traveling forms: Bear\, Leopard\, Crocodile;\nUsing traveling forms as a “link” for switches and transitions;\nHow and why to introduce tempo change and energy redirects into a flow;\nIntermediate flow design\n\nLevel 2 Continuing Education\nParticipants are eligible to receive Continuing Education credits from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) – .9 CE; American Fitness Association of America (AFAA) – 9 CEUs; American Council on Exercise (ACE) – 1 CEC. \nELIGIBILITY\nTo enroll in Level 2\, you must have already taken the Level 1 workshop at least 30 days prior to the date of the L2 workshop.
