You’ll need to have enough space to perform the L1 movements. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe L1 Review and Test Out provides a thorough review of the L1 movements\, while allowing you to test out at the same time. It’s a great opportunity for anyone who has taken the L1 workshop but hasn’t submitted their Test Out\, and/or Flowists who would like a technique tune up. Whether you just need a refresher\, or you don’t have time to shoot the test videos\, or you just think this sounds like more fun – this session is meant to help rekindle your passion for Animal Flow and support you to achieve your certification. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Course\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis course takes you through a review of the L1 movements while providing opportunity to complete your test out then. \n\n\n\nThe first 3 hours of the workshop provide the review of the L1 movements. The MI demonstrates each movement\, reviews key points\, and then observes participants practicing the moves. They will provide some immediate feedback\, while taking notes regarding each individuals’ success or need for improvement. \n\n\n\nThe final hour is dedicated to the Call Out portion of the test. Participants can complete this portion live during the session\, or they can submit this on video afterward. \n\n\n\nSee the following section for details on the test requirements. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nELIGIBILITY\n\n\n\n\nAnyone who has taken the L1 workshop can attend this review workshop. \n\n\n\n\nIndividuals who have taken L1 but have not yet submitted their test out can do so through this event. This includes individuals who have are late for the submission deadline. Participation in this workshop will meet the requirement that you repeat the L1 workshop if you have missed the submission deadline.  \n\n\n\nIndividuals who don’t have a test out pending can still attend for a general technique tune up! This is a great way to review all the movements\, with opportunity to receive instant feedback.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTEST REQUIREMENTS\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe requirements to pass your L1 test are the same whether you attend this session or submit via video. You can review the requirements here. Participating in this session removes the requirement to record the videos. It also waives any late fees\, and satisfies the requirement to repeat L1 if you are past the submission deadline. \n\n\n\nYou must have your camera on and be prepared to participate for the entire time. \n\n\n\nThe first 3 hours of the workshop cover Part 1 of the Test Out\, where you demonstrate proficiency will performing the movements. You’ll review each movement\, practice\, and make corrections before the MI determines if you are sufficient to pass. \n\n\n\nThe last hour covers Part 2 of the Test Out. This is where you demonstrate the you can design a Flow and call it out using the correct language. \n\n\n\nYou can complete this portion live during the event\, or you can submit it on video within 30 days. \n\n\n\nIf you intend to do it during the event\, you must come with your Flow prepared! \n\n\n\nIf you are applying to become a Certified AF Instructor\, you will Call Out someone else with your Flow. We will pair you up with someone else to call out on screen. If you are applying to become an Official Flowist\, you will perform the Flow yourself while calling it out. \n\n\n\n\nThe Flow must contain 12-15 movements. It will be approximately 120 second long. \n\n\n\nUse only L1 moves from the Switches and Transitions and FSS categories. Do not include Activations or Traveling Forms in the flow.\n\n\n\nYou must have the flow memorized. Do not use notes when calling out the Flow. This detracts from your ability to actively coach your participant. We need to see that you can coach without needing to look at notes. You cannot refer to notes. Your attention should be focused on the person you are calling out. \n\n\n\nThe Flow is an opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of how the movements work together. As such\, do not perform the same movement back to back on alternating sides as this does not lend itself to the concept of flow and optimizing movement variability.\n\n\n\nYou should not repeat the entire flow to the opposite side. Use your entire 120 seconds for one flow performed to one side only.\n\n\n\nIf English is not your primary language\, you can call out the direction and limb command\, along with any necessary cues\, in your preferred language. The names of the Animal Flow moves must always be in English.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCertification Options\n\n\n\n\nTaking the Level 1 workshop is the first step toward becoming a Certified Animal Flow Instructor or Official Flowist. \n\n\n\n\nCERTIFIED ANIMAL FLOW INSTRUCTORS \n\n\n\nFitness professionals are eligible to become Certified AF Instructors\, allowing them to teach AF in personal training sessions or group fitness classes\, and/or integrate it into other fitness programming. To become certified\, participants must complete the test out process after the workshop and provide proof of credentials as a fitness\, yoga or martial arts professional. The test out process includes completing the online 30-question exam through Animal Flow’s Thinkific platform. \n\n\n\nIf you have questions regarding whether your fitness professional credentials would qualify you to become certified\, please email workshops@animalflow.com. While credential types vary widely between regions and disciplines\, we generally look for certifications or degrees in relevant fields (fitness\, yoga\, physical therapy\, exercise science\, martial arts) from accreditation organizations. We do not accept nutrition or life coaching certifications. \n\n\n\n\n\nOFFICIAL FLOWIST \n\n\n\nNon-professionals are welcome to take the course for their own benefit\, though are not eligible to become a Certified AF Instructor without first attaining a qualifying fitness credential. These individuals can complete the test out process to attain the title of Official Flowist. \n\n\n\nIf someone has earned the title of Official Flowist and then goes on to attain a professional fitness credential\, they can update their title to Certified Instructor. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCancellations and REFUNDs POLICY\n\n\n\n\nIf you cannot attend the Online Review and Test Out for any reason\, you’ll receive a credit for the full amount that you can apply to a future Test Out\, workshop\, or mentorship. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEVENT ORGANIZER\n\n\n\n\n\nFor more information contact:

SUMMARY:L1 Review and Test Out with Mike Fitch (July 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Join Mike Fitch in this online workshop for a thorough review of the Level 1 movements and call out language. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has taken the L1 workshop but hasn’t submitted their Test Out\, and/or Flowists who would like a technique tune up.\n\nWe understand that after taking your L1 workshop\, life can get busy\, and your practice may have needed to take a back seat. We also appreciate that it’s easy to lose confidence when it has been some time since you were able to work on the movements covered in the workshop. Whether it’s been a while and you need a refresher on the technique details\, or you just don’t have time to shoot the required videos\, or you just think this sounds like more fun – this session is meant to help rekindle your passion for Animal Flow and support you to achieve your certification.\nTESTING OUT\nThe first four hours of the event will be dedicated to the review session.\n\nFor attendees who are seeking to complete their L1 Test Out:\n\n You must submit the required Test Out form and documents ahead of time. You will receive a link to the online form after registration. The form will ask you to confirm your personal details; indicate whether you are seeking to become a Certified Animal Flow Instructor or Official Flowist; confirm your fitness credentials if necessary; and provide proof that you completed the online exam.\n Participation in the review portion of the workshop will serve as a “pass” for Part 1 of the Test Out (performance of the movements).\n You will have two options to complete Part 2\, where you have to coach someone else through a Flow that you have designed:\n\n\n If you believe that you are prepared for Part 2\, you can do it online immediately following the review session. If you would like to take more time after the review session to prepare your Flow\, you can submit it on video within 30 days of the event.\n If you are testing out to become a Certified Animal Flow Instructor\, you must coach someone else through a 90 second flow that you have designed. We will pair you up with someone else\, and pin your screens on zoom so that Mike can watch you both. You’ll receive immediate feedback\, and will have opportunity to make corrections and retry if needed.\n If you are testing out to become an Official Flowist (the title for non-professionals who will not be teaching Animal Flow)\, then you will NOT coach someone else. Instead\, you will perform a 90-second Flow that you have designed\, calling it out as you go along.\n We will break Part 2 into break-out groups\, and have additional evaluators assigned to review your call outs. This way we can ensure that it doesn’t take more than an hour to get through everybody’s tests.\n\nAGENDA\nFriday July 18\n\n 10:00am – 2:00pm (US Eastern Time/New York Time): You will review all of the L1 movements covered in the workshop. Mike will demonstrate each movement\, reviewing the key points and common errors. Then all participants will perform several rounds together so that Mike can confirm everyone is performing correctly. He’ll note any errors\, and may ask some people to make corrections. Completion of this portion of the sessions counts as passing Part 1 of your test out.\n 2:00pm – 2:15pm BREAK\n 2:15pm – 3:15pm Optional Part 2 Test Out\n\n \nELIGIBILITY\nAnyone who has taken the L1 workshop can attend this review workshop.\n\nIndividuals who have taken L1 but have not yet submitted their test out can do so through this event. This includes individuals who have exceeded the 180-day deadline for submission (see reminder of deadlines below). Participation in this workshop will meet the requirement that you repeat the L1 workshop if you have missed the submission deadline.\n\nParticipation in this event does not guarantee that you will immediately pass the Level 1 test. You must still prepare to design and coach someone else through a Flow. If it has been a long time since you took the L1 workshop\, we strongly recommend that you review the Call Out Tutorial tutorial included in the instructor Resource section on this website.\nCOST\nRegistration for this event is $150.00 USD.\n\nTEST OUT REQUIREMENTS\nThe requirements to pass your L1 test are the same whether you attend this session or submit via video. You can review the requirements here. Participating in this session provides you with a detailed review of the L1 movements\, and removes the requirement to record the videos. \n\nTests are due within 30-90 days after your workshop. \nWe give you a 90 day “grace period” when you are technically late\, but can still submit without penalty. We no longer require requesting permission for this 90-day extension. \nIf more than 180 days have passed since your workshop\, you will be prompted to pay the $50 late fee when you upload your test.(Enrolling in this session will waive the late fee). \nIf more than a year has passed since your workshop\, you will need to take the workshop again. You can take it in person at 50% of regular price\, or take it online at 30% price (70% discount). If you are more than a year late and would like to submit your test through this Online Review Session\, please contact us to discuss your level of readiness.

SUMMARY:L1 Review and Test Out with Gee Tual (March 2025)
DESCRIPTION:Join Guillaume Tual\, Australia Master Instructor\, in this online workshop for a thorough review of the Level 1 movements and call out language. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has taken the L1 workshop but hasn’t submitted their Test Out\, and/or Flowists who would like a technique tune up. \nThis workshop will take place in Australia/Asia Time Zone. \nWe understand that after taking your L1 workshop\, life can get busy\, and your practice may have needed to take a back seat. We also appreciate that it’s easy to lose confidence when it has been some time since you were able to work on the movements covered in the workshop. Whether it’s been a while and you need a refresher on the technique details\, or you just don’t have time to shoot the required videos\, or you just think this sounds like more fun – this session is meant to help rekindle your passion for Animal Flow and support you to achieve your certification. \nTESTING OUT\nThe first four hours of the event will be dedicated to the review session. \nFor attendees who are seeking to complete their L1 Test Out: \n\nYou must submit the required Test Out form and documents ahead of time. You will receive a link to the online form after registration. The form will ask you to confirm your personal details; indicate whether you are seeking to become a Certified Animal Flow Instructor or Official Flowist; confirm your fitness credentials if necessary; and provide proof that you completed the online exam.\nParticipation in the review portion of the workshop will serve as a “pass” for Part 1 of the Test Out (performance of the movements).\nYou will have two options to complete Part 2\, where you have to coach someone else through a Flow that you have designed:\n\n\nIf you believe that you are prepared for Part 2\, you can do it online immediately following the review session. If you would like to take more time after the review session to prepare your Flow\, you can submit it on video within 30 days of the event.\nIf you are testing out to become a Certified Animal Flow Instructor\, you must coach someone else through a 90 second flow that you have designed. We will pair you up with someone else\, and pin your screens on zoom so that Mike can watch you both. You’ll receive immediate feedback\, and will have opportunity to make corrections and retry if needed.\nIf you are testing out to become an Official Flowist (the title for non-professionals who will not be teaching Animal Flow)\, then you will NOT coach someone else. Instead\, you will perform a 90-second Flow that you have designed\, calling it out as you go along.\nWe will break Part 2 into break-out groups\, and have additional evaluators assigned to review your call outs. This way we can ensure that it doesn’t take more than an hour to get through everybody’s tests.\n\nAGENDA\nSunday March 23 \n\n10:00am – 2:00pm (Australia Brisbane Time Zone): You will review all of the L1 movements covered in the workshop. Gee will demonstrate each movement\, reviewing the key points and common errors. Then all participants will perform several rounds together so that Gee can confirm everyone is performing correctly. He’ll note any errors\, and may ask some people to make corrections. Completion of this portion of the sessions counts as passing Part 1 of your test out.\n2:00pm – 2:15pm BREAK\n2:15pm – 3:15pm Optional Part 2 Test Out\n\n  \nELIGIBILITY\nAnyone who has taken the L1 workshop can attend this review workshop. \nIndividuals who have taken L1 but have not yet submitted their test out can do so through this event. This includes individuals who have exceeded the 180-day deadline for submission (see reminder of deadlines below). Participation in this workshop will meet the requirement that you repeat the L1 workshop if you have missed the submission deadline. \nParticipation in this event does not guarantee that you will immediately pass the Level 1 test. You must still prepare to design and coach someone else through a Flow. If it has been a long time since you took the L1 workshop\, we strongly recommend that you review the Call Out Tutorial tutorial included in the instructor Resource section on this website. \nCOST\nRegistration for this event is $150.00 USD. \nTEST OUT REQUIREMENTS\nThe requirements to pass your L1 test are the same whether you attend this session or submit via video. You can review the requirements here. Participating in this session provides you with a detailed review of the L1 movements\, and removes the requirement to record the videos. \nTests are due within 30-90 days after your workshop. \n\nWe give you a 90 day “grace period” when you are technically late\, but can still submit without penalty.
